Guia Gilardoni is an international research project manager at ISMU Foundation, where she is in charge of the International Relations.

She has a research scholarship at the Catholic University in Milan for a field research in Senegal regarding the links between migration, the local labour market, and vocational education. Her main topics of interest are European migration policy, refugees and migrant integration. For the last ten years, she has been committed to bring research and academic knowledge to policymakers.

She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Research Methods from the Catholic University of Milan, where she specialized in the integration of young generations in multicultural society, and a bachelor’s degree in Modern History from Bologna University.

She is a member of the Board of Directors and of the External Affairs Committee of IMISCOE. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, broad project design and management skills (EIF, H2020, AMIF), strong institution-relationship at local, national, and European level, management and negotiating abilities, and a proven track record of delivering targets.

Francesca Locatelli holds a Ph.D. in Public Law from University of Turin (Italy). Since 2006, she has worked for ISMU FOUNDATION participating in several projects on migrants’ integration. In addition, she has been on the staff of the Lombardy Regional Observatory for Integration and Multiethnicity (ORIM). Since 2015, she has been managing the coordination of all the Foundation’s communication activities: press office, newsletters, specific communication campaigns, public events, publications, website and social media.

After having studied Sociology at the University of Milan Bicocca and Identity and social change at the University of Urbino, she gained a Master’s degree in Training and organization. In 2005 she started working at Province of Milan where she collaborated as a researcher whit the local Migration observatory.

Since 2008 she has been working for the ISMU Foundation on national and international projects and research concerning integration as Regional Observatory for Integration and Multiethnicity of Lombardy Region (ORIM), Metropolis International project, Correlare. Consolidare reti regionali e locali per un’accoglienza responsabile (empowerment PA – supported by National authorities and EU found). She also collaborates in the organization of national and international conferences (Ismu national conference, ORIM national conference, Metropolis international conference etc.).
