The Education Department provides training paths for teachers, school headmasters and representatives of other educational institutions, students and their parents, school trainers, education policy makers, intercultural mediators and for people working in the culture and education area in general.

Training courses and thematic seminars are developed in collaboration with the Ismu trainers depending on the demand and needs of the courses’ target.

On this basis, training courses are structured so as to meet objectives which are previously set and agreed by the staff (education agreement) and according to the context’s rquirements:

  • groups heterogeneity (multidisciplinarity, multi-professionality, types of role and function, etc.);
  • number of trainers involved
  • type of organisational structure and its coherence with the identified objectives (duration, meetings schedule, total course hours)..

Training can be structured as follows:

  • Short and intensive modules;
  • Courses made of both theoretical and concept-oriented modules and of workshops focusing on practice and project development;
  • Monitoring and evaluation sessions to be regularly held during the execution phase of the projects and to be arranged in order to elaborate standardized operational plans as well as to manage the complexity of the various educational environments.

Essential and constitutive elements of training:

  • Promote a collaborative and constructive approach to training and enhance good practices aimed at improving professional self-evaluation and learning from experience;
  • Use the narrative standard as a practical tool;
  • Develop skills which enable to match theoretical knowledge and know-how and to rethink the theoretical and practical background acquired throughout the training process.
