This area promotes and carries out, also in cooperation with other organizations and institutions, inquiries and studies on immigrants' economic integration in its different meanings. From the demand/offer tallying mechanisms to the role of immigrants' labour in the labour market, from the policies regulating migrations for labour purposes to the perspectives of entrepreneurship and self-employment development, from the problem of discrimination to immigrants' money saving abilities, from the role of active labour policies to the role of vocational training.
In addition, this area circulates inquiry results through a considerable publishing activity and advice services provided to central and local administrations, local organizations, communication operators, economic actors, as well as to Italian and foreign researchers.
